All week the media have been banging on about WINDPOCALPSE so of course I was waiting excitedly for today. Ok so it blew a bit but there was no mass downing of trees or blowing of high sided vehicles into rivers. I did see a sheep stagger a bit but that may have been due to poor hoof conditions underfoot.
So I ran to Witches Point which meant 3 and a half miles into the wind and then the saunter home!
The wind did so some cool stuff however in more subtle ways.

Fuck the weather get out there and run people!
Nah! Sorry… kak weather specially scaryarsegaleforce winds = couch!
Proud of you though!!!!! How’s the foot?

Feeling ok. At the moment it’s a battle between left foot and right knee. They have agreed not to hurt at same time but one will always be having a moan …. I just ignore them now. They’re like old friends

I hid inside. Storm was wrecking havoc here! I mean really bad 😥 bet the ‘snow’ arrived from over here and lost some power on the way.
If it stays over the weekend I run with my bike helmet on.

It’s kinda lucky we have the old emerald isle to shelter us. You take the sting out of atlantic storms and we get to bask …. sort of

This is the first time I’ve felt sorry for a thwarted waterfall. What next? Birds flying backwards?

The seagulls didn’t seem to care. I was watching them landing on the cliffs in the gale thinking “how to they do that” They sort of swoop in and then suddenly apply the old wing brakes, go upwards a bit them down onto the ledge.
